Full Spectrum CBD vs CBD Isolate

What’s the difference between Full Spectrum CBD and CBD Isolate?

CBD products are becoming increasingly popular as users are using it to treat a wide variety of ailments, such as pain, anxiety and sleepless nights among others.

You can buy CBD in two different forms; Full Spectrum CBD and CBD isolate. Understanding the difference between the two is important as they have some major differences and act in different ways.

Full Spectrum oil refers to when the CBD oil contains all of the plants cannabinoids (whole plant extract) and the terpenes found in hemp plant. There’s roughly over 100 different cannabinoids including THC, CBD, CBN & CBG. The terpenes found in hemp are also extracted and have been known to increase the efficacy of cannabinoids.

The THC found in full spectrum products is minimal, usually less than 0.3%. Such low amounts means you will not get high and therefore it is not psychoactive.

Full Spectrum oil also produces what is know as the “entourage effect”. This means that when all the cannabinoids and terpenes are working together, they increase their therapeutic properties, something that CBD isolates doesn’t do.This is the single most important difference between Full Spectrum CBD & CBD Isolate!

These claims have been supported by Lautenberg Center in Jerusalem. They published a study that examines the effectiveness of CBD Isolates versus Full Spectrum CBD, whole plant extract. The Lautenberg Center concluded that whole plant extract with all of the cannabinoids and terpenes, proved to be more effective in alleviating inflammation and pain then CBD isolates. As Full Spectrum dosage increases it will continue to provide relief, whereas CBD extract will not.

Given these reasons, all our of oils and products at BKLYN CBD all of our oils are Full Spectrum. We hold ourselves to high standards in order to meet our clients.
